Colombia Asobombo [Organic]

$23.00

Apricot Fruit Leather | Mango | Fudge

Origin: Colombia [Pitalito, Huila]

Process: Washed

Producers: ASOBOMBO - 170 Smallholders

Varietals: Caturra | Colombia | Geisha | Pink Bourbon

Altitude: 1600 - 2000 masl

This coffee is produced by largely young descendants of coffee producers who incorporate lessons and techniques that their ancestors developed but have sought to modernize and incorporate new farming practices and technology to improve their cooperative’s crop. Around half of these farmers are women.

The riparian farms of ASOBOMBO, situated between the Magdelena River and the Cascada Salto de Bordones waterfall, and the altitude of between 1600 and 2000 masl both contribute to this coffee’s overall high quality and complexity.

This washed coffee is very approachable yet has subtle but recognizable dried fruit flavors of apricot that transitions to juicy ripe mango rounded out by a lovely fudge note in the finish. This coffee is especially excellent for filter or drip but is versatile enough to make for for an interesting and delicious brighter espresso option.

Priority shipping is FREE for orders $75 and over (select priority shipping at checkout).
